FOUNDATION& SERVICES The company was founded in 1987 in Italy by Mr. Leonardo Curatolo, based on his personal experience regarding the import/export sector. In 1999, by acquiring experience and gathering the know-how about the market of the Balkans, the company decided to move Greece, establishing its Headquarters in Athens with a wide range of services. The company soon expanded to the sportswear industry resulting in the increasing of sales by 180% and based to that great success the company assumed the official representation of "LEGEA SPA" (2008-2018) in Greece and in the entire Balkan region. Since then, "Sportitalia Ltd" represents the following Italian sportswear companies: "ACERBIS ITALIA SA","PELLA SPORTSWEAR LTD", "BARRET LTD", "HEARTANDSOULSTYLE LTD" WOMEN LUXURY SPORT FASHION ", "GP ITALIA SA", "PREMIERS TROPHY LTD", in Bulgaria, Cyprus, Kosovo, Greece, North Macedonia, Albania, Romania, Serbia and Turkey. Currently, we have several collaborations with sportswear and casual products stores in all the Balkan countries and branches in Nicosia (Cyprus), Sofia (Bulgaria), while maintaining our Headquarters in Athens (Greece), having a showroom of 380 sqm. Our staff is highly qualified and each one is a native speaker of the language of each country we represent, ensuring the best service for our clients. Setting the development of the company in the forefront, the know-how combining with the teamwork spirit are fundamental and a prerequisite for going step forwards and meet the challenges of the new era. AWARDS On March 18, 2010, the Confederation of Italian Entrepreneurs in Europe rewarded the founder of "Sportitalia Ltd", Mr. Leonardo Curatolo, as one of the best "Italian Protagonist" worldwide. The ceremony took place in Athens with the presence of Italian and Greek political figures, among them the Italian Ambassador to Greece Gianpaolo Scarante and many renowned Greek ministers. PURPOSE The main purpose of our company consists of high quality of services, promising cooperation and strong professionalism. We monitor and supervise the whole process of our service up to the final step, ensuring the high standards of our partnerships regarding our representation in sportswear and accessories in the Balkan region. CUSTOMERS Currently we have a sales network of more than 300 sportswear stores in the whole Balkan region. We also have partners of various sports Federations such as in Basketball (Federations of Cyprus), in Football (Federations of Bosnia-Montenegro), in Swimming (The Greek National Federation), in Handball (The Greek National Federation), in Volley & Taekwondo (Bandirma Handball in Turkey), etc. Not to mention but few of our partnerships, professional football teams in A,B,C category (FC Tirana-Albania GC CSKA-Sofia, Sofia Lefki-Bulgaria, FC Larissa, FC Levadeiakos, FC Panaitolikos, FC OFI- Greece, FC Ethnikos Achnas, FC Ermis-Cyprus, fc Steaua Bucharest-Romania, FC Torpedo Moscow-Russia, FC Bandirma-Turkey) and more than 1.200 teams of amateur football academies. Since 2013 till 2016, our company was the official supplier of the amateur academy of "Olympiakos" in all sport disciplines for more than 2.000 athletes. Regarding volleyball, we represent the most important academies of males and females of "Olympiakos", "PAOK" and "Aris". NEW CHALLENGES Feeling the impact of the economic crisis of 2008, we set the criteria of a new strategy by seeking new investing areas and opportunities in other commercial fields. So, a new commercial branch regarding the running/fitness category for professional and amateur associations took place and soon developed with a great success contribution in a positive way to our company economic course. |
